The result was my suffering oxygen deprivation to my brain for a total of approximately 90 minutes. Each time I died I went to Heaven. The 1st time I went to Heaven was for 15 minutes; the 2nd time was for 17 minutes; and the 3rd time was for 43 hours and 28 minutes. In the book 44 Hours in Heaven, I will share what Heaven is like, the conversations I had with Jesus, and what I learned. In addition, I have and look forward to sharing my testimony through any group meeting or gatherings that invite me to do so. Question: What is the Trinity? The doctrine of the Holy Trinity,(Trinitarian Godhead) means that there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Stated differently, God is one in essence and three in person. These definitions express three crucial truths: (1) The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons, (2) each Person is fully God, and (3) there is only one God. The Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit form the Trinity (the Trinitarian Godhead) and are equally omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. We can see the differentiation of the three persons of the Trinity in one clear passage: “16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Mathew 3: 16-17 [NIV*]). As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment, heaven was opened, and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. I am well pleased.” During the baptism of Jesus by John, all three persons of the Trinity (the Trinitarian Godhead) are in action, distinct from one another. They are each God and divine with qualities, essence, and will. The Trinity is not a belief in three gods. There is only one God, and we must never stray from this. This one God exists as three Persons. The three Persons are not part of God but are fully and equally God. Within God’s one undivided being, there is an unfolding into three interpersonal relationships such that there are three Persons. The distinctions within the Godhead are not distinctions of His essence and neither are they something added on to His essence, but they are the unfolding of God’s one, undivided being into three interpersonal relationships such that there are three real Persons. God is not one person who took three consecutive roles. That is the heresy of modalism. The Father did not become the Son and then the Holy Spirit. Instead, there have always been and always will be three distinct persons in the Godhead. The Trinity is not a contradiction because God is not three in the same way that He is one. God is one, in essence, three in Person. Omnipotence Omnipotence is an attribute of GOD alone. It is the quality of having all power. “3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him” (Psalm 115:3 [NIV*]) He can do all things that do not conflict with His holy nature. God has the power to do anything He wants to do. However, God cannot do that which is contrary to His nature. For example, God does not lie, “2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,” (Titus 1:2 [NIV*]). Omnipresence Omnipresence is an attribute of GOD alone. It is the quality of being present in all places simultaneously. He is not bound by time and space. If there are alternate dimensions, GOD is there. If there are alternate realities, GOD is there. Omniscience Omniscience is an attribute of GOD alone. It is the quality of having all knowledge, (Isaiah 40: 13-14 [NIV])”13 Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, ,or instruct the Lord as his counselor? 14 Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge ,or showed him the path of understanding?). God knows all things are possible as well as actual because He has ordained who or whatsoever will come to pass according to the counsel of His will. He does not need to experience something to know about it completely. (Ephesians 1:3-11[NIV]). 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. Question: What happens if a Person Commits Suicide? A great number of people Have asked the question of what happens if someone commits suicide. The idea that an individual who dies by suicide can’t go to Heaven is wrong. It does not mean they will go to Heaven or not go to Heaven. It is merely another way of dying. According to what the Bible teaches, the manner in which a person dies has no determination on their eternal destiny. So, if, for example, a Christian dies by suicide, it’s not the suicide that determines their destiny; it is whether they were a true believer in Christ and were saved prior to their death. Likewise, this is equally true of a non-Christian. If an unsaved person dies by suicide, it isn’t the suicide that determines their eternal destiny. It is that they did not believe nor accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Where a person spends an eternity is determined by one factor and one factor only: Did that person accept or reject Christ? When you die, God’s going to ask you one question when you stand before him. He’s going to say, did you accept or reject what My Son Jesus did on the Cross? Whether you accept or reject what Jesus did for you and the entire world on the Cross is what determines where you spend eternity. That’s it. Our hope is not found in anything except the Grace we received from Jesus and His sacrifice of dying on the cross for all of our sins. Suicide is a serious sin. It is self-murder. It’s wrong. We should not pursue sin, ever, even knowing full well that you’re forgiven. I know I stand before God and I am forgiven right now, but I’m not going to chase a life of immorality, addiction, or any other sin. I love Jesus and am forever and am blessed to be able to follow Jesus. I hope and desire to act and look more like Jesus tomorrow than I do today, but my salvation doesn’t change with my behavior. It’s important to understand this. Suicide is a sin, and we should never do it. Just because you are covered by grace does not mean you have the right to do anything you want, and there won’t be consequences; there will be consequences for everything we do, whether good or bad. When we are saved and sin, it is because the devil will tempt us to do what we know is wrong in hopes that he can steal our joy and happiness because he can’t steal our soul, which belongs to Jesus.
